Who We Are
Our Mission
To promote and support professionally trained Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children in need of safety, stability and permanency, brought to the attention of the Juvenile Courts, giving them the opportunity to thrive.
What We Do
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates: volunteers who are appointed by the Juvenile Court Judge to assist the Court in determining the best interests of children involved in child welfare proceedings. CASA advocates for children from birth to 18 years of age.
While CASA for Kids Inc. is a partner agency of the United Ways of Bristol, Kingsport and Hawkins County, and partially funded through a contract with the State of Tennessee Commission on Children & Youth, we also conduct fundraisers throughout the year that help us to serve the children of Sullivan and Hawkins Counties: The Red Shoe Gala; Pickleball Tournament; Hawkins County Low Country Boil and Friends Campaign.
