Who We Are
What We Do
Hospice is a type of healthcare which focuses on the comfort and quality of life of a patient rather than curative treatment. Hospice care teams include a chaplain, nurse, social worker, volunteer services, and hospice aide. This team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to attend to the patient’s spiritual, physical, and emotional needs and the family’s support. After a patient passes, the hospice team continues to provide bereavement support to the family for an additional 13 months. This support includes phone calls, one on one meetings, literature resources, and group support. The Caris bereavement program is fluid and adaptable, to meet individuals where they are in their grief.
