Volunteer: Advocacy for Children

Do you have a desire to help children in need?  At present, CASA for Kids is only able to serve 19% of the children who come before the courts for abuse and neglect.  Children from birth to 18 need their voices heard.  Every child has a chance - it's YOU!

If you:

* Are willing to commit to a child

* Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

* Can be objective at all times

* Able to participate in a structured training program

* Pass an extensive criminal background check

* And, are age 21 and over, then contact us to begin your journey into child advocacy.

CASA offers volunteers some unique experiences including the following:

The opportunity to help improve life for a child

Active participation in the court and child welfare system that produces significant and positive results for a child

Increased knowledge of child welfare issues and the court process

Belonging to a group of individuals who are concerned with similar issues

Being active and involved in the community

Making professional contacts in the field of child welfare

Experience that may apply toward career advancement

CASAs are a strong voice for children in Court, speaking up for their needs.  A CASA volunteer protects a child’s right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to learn and grow in the safe embrace of a loving family.
