Have you ever wanted to help a bride find her dream dress? Do you have a servant's heart and enjoy volunteering? YWCA NETN and SWVA will be hosting our annual Bridal Warehouse Sale Fri Nov 7th 3-7 pm and Sat Nov 8th 9am-3pm. Help choose the perfect gowns, assist with hanging, or if customer service is not your jam, come before or after the sale to help with set up and take down/clean up. There is something for everyone.

YWCA NETN and SWVA has many programs that assist the community from affordable childcare to our afterschool program, Moms R Us, helping families obtain needed resources, and so much more. Our dresses were donated to us and the proceeds go to fund our programs, ultimately giving back to our community and supporting those who need it most. Come be a part of something great. We'd love to have you and you'll have fun while you're here.

We are in temporary need of assistance at our front desk. Volunteers would answer the phone, transfer calls, and assist with security/opening the door to allow parents of our daycare children and staff entry to the building. 

YWCA NETN and SWVA operates the Bristol Bridal Station as a Social Enterprise in support of the YWCA mission. The salon features new, couture wedding and special occasion gowns and accessories priced at a fraction of regular retail. The Volunteer Bridal Consultant will provide excellent customer service and support to clients. Ideal Volunteer Bridal Consultant characteristics:Available for 2.5 hour shifts on Saturdays, once or twice per month.Available to facilitate occasional weekday evening private appointment.Available to assist in processing new inventory occasionally.Well groomed, professional presentation. Consultant dress code is black pants/skirt/dress and black top.Good physical condition, able to lift up to 20lbs overhead.Energetic and outgoing.Work well with a wide variety of personality types.Sincerely enjoy helping others and enthusiastic about special events.Sensitively listen to customer needs.Respectful of personal boundaries and varying levels of modesty.Ability to remain neutral and professional when engaging with families.Attentive to Bridal Station policies and procedures.Willingness to learn bridal/formalwear terminology.Willingness to communicate about YWCA mission and programs.Ability to multi-task, assist multiple customers at one time.Trustworthy and patient.
