You can take an hour out of your day to make a world of difference to someone homebound. Countless times we hear from recipients how they would not have a meal if it was not for volunteers bringing a meal to their door. Sometimes, the visit is also a welfare check; making sure that person is okay. You may brighten a person's whole day just by chatting with them for a few minutes. Meals are picked up at a nutrition site between 9:30 am - 11:00 am Monday - Friday and take approx. 1 to 1.5 hrs. to deliver. Our volunteers are often the only person a meal recipient will see during the day and your smile means the world to them. If you have an hour once a month or once a week, we can use your help! We need volunteers in all areas, Washington County, Unicoi County, Greene County, Sullivan County, Carter County, Hawkins County, Hancock County, and Johnson County.
