Needs From: Volunteer United

Multiple Shifts Available. The Volunteer Department at Holston Valley Hospital is in search of volunteers to serve in our non-profit gift shop. All proceeds from the gift shop benefit patients and patient families. We are currently only open 1-2 days a week and we would like to expand our hours to being open weekdays from 10-4. As volunteers, we ring up sales, create displays, and offer an inviting place inside the hospital away from all the beeping machines and stress. As a perk for volunteering, all volunteers receive lunch and/or Starbucks on the day they volunteer. 

Volunteers serving in the main lobby help to give directions to patients and their families. We will train you. This shift is usually double staffed so volunteers can create connection and meet new people in the community. This volunteer shift is inside Holston Valley Medical Center. This volunteer position is perfect for retirees with a little time on their hands, young adults working on their soft skills, or those needing volunteer hours who want to be in the medical field. 

Multiple Shifts available. Volunteers who serve in the Main Lobby at Indian Path Community Hospital serve by giving directions to patients and family members. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for retirees, homeschooled individuals, individuals with limited mobility, and young adults working on their soft skills. Volunteers serve 4 hours, either 8-12 or 12-4. As a perk for volunteering, all hospital volunteers get free lunch on the day they volunteer.

Multiple Shifts available. Volunteers who serve in the Surgery Waiting Room serve by giving updates to family members of individuals in surgery. They also keep snacks stocked and interact with members of the surgery team to pass along information. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for retirees, future medical professionals who need volunteer hours, and other adults. Volunteers serve 4 hours, either 8-12 or 12-4. As a perk for volunteering, all hospital volunteers get free lunch and/or Starbucks on the day they volunteer!
