Hunger First

Hunger First has been serving the Tri-cities TN and Southwest Virginia area since 1994. Our mission is to educate and empower the low-income, no income and homeless populations in our area. Through education and empowerment, we believe Hunger First's beneficiaries can begin to work together to eliminate social, economic and behavioral issues that keep them in poverty. We are dependent on volunteers and community donations of food, clothing. monetary assistance, and time. We would not be here without our volunteers.

We help provide resources to the homeless, no income, and low income of our community, that they may not have access to, including but not limited to, clothing; food; navigating applications for assistance; literacy issues; general resources; general living help; self-expression; health and wellness programs.
