What We Do

Erwin National Fish Hatchery’s primary purpose is to work with others to provide certified disease free inland salmonid eggs to partners to support recreational fish on a national scale, and through sound science and innovation assist in the recovery of imperiled species for the benefit of all people. Erwin National Fish Hatchery produces Rainbow and Brook trout. The fish are stocked in reservoirs, lakes, rivers across the Southeast. Erwin NFH is involved in assisting partners with the recovery of declining populations of several threatened and endangered species.
