Jackets for Children is an annual event held in December for the past 20 plus years where Mountain Region Speech and Hearing Center partners with Sertoma Club of Kingsport. 20 Children are identified from our current client base who are in need of a winter jacket. The clients who are identified are sent a letter inviting them to meet us at Burlington Outlet on Stone Drive at 5:30 so that they can pick out a new jacket. Sertoma Club of Kingsport pays for the jackets. After the jackets are picket out and paid for the children and their family member will meet at Mountain Region Speech and Hearing Center in the Douglas room for a pizza and desert party.
It is our pleasure to be able to provide these jackets and dinner at no cost to the children or their family.
Volunteers are welcome to help with food distribution and clean up after the event.
