The Kingsport Public Library is looking for volunteers to help keep our library welcoming and organized. Volunteers assist with tasks such as shelving books, straightening shelves, cleaning, and pulling holds for patrons. Your time and support help us provide excellent service to our community!
Volunteers must complete and clear a free background check prior to volunteering. All adult volunteers must sign a volunteer waiver and complete a form authorizing a background check. You can pick up this paperwork at the library, or we can email it to you to fill out and send back electronically. Be aware that background checks may take 5-7 days to process, so it's best to wait to sign up for a shift until we get that processed.
