SMILE Foster Closet is seeking passionate, dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors for the 2026 term. This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic leadership and governance for a growing nonprofit committed to supporting foster children, foster families, kinship providers, and at-risk families by providing essential necessities.

Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Ability to contribute to the big picture and support our organization's growth.
- Prepared to review and evaluate organizational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- A genuine commitment to improving the lives of children in foster care and their caregivers.
Crucial Skill Set Need:
- We have a specific need for individuals with bookkeeping/treasurer experience to manage and oversee the organization's financial health. However, we encourage all interested parties with various professional backgrounds to apply!
Commitment
- Quarterly Board Meetings
- A minimum of 2 hours per month for board duties (remotely) or to assist with organization at the physical foster closet (in-person).
- Evaluating policies, offering strategic guidance, and supporting fundraising efforts.
Your leadership will directly impact our ability to provide basic necessities, allowing foster families to focus on loving kids and creating stability.
