Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians is excited to participate in the 2026 Birthplace of Country Music Children's Day a free, family-centered community event taking place on April 25 at Cumberland Square Park from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Join us to bring the community together to enjoy music, vendors, and hands-on children’s activities. Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians will be on-site to welcome families, share information about how girls in grades K–12 can get involved in Girl Scouting, and answer questions about local troops and upcoming programs.
Families who stop by our booth will:
- Receive take-home informational materials about joining Girl Scouts
- Learn about leadership development, outdoor adventures, STEM activities, entrepreneurship, and community service opportunities
- Children can also participate in a fun, hands-on activity at our booth — banjo SWAP — giving them a chance to play while families learn more about the Girl Scout experience.
We look forward to connecting with families across Northeast Tennessee and sharing how Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
