Earth Day is a great way to spend time outside cleaning up the environment and giving back to your community. Spend a few hours helping park staff improve the nature preserve while giving back to your community on April 19, 2019. From 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. join several park volunteers as they help remove trash along Lakeside, Lake Road, and Fire Tower Trails within Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium. Meet in front of the Nature Center. Pre-registration is required by calling the Nature Center at (423) 229-9490. No fee required. Participants are required to bring drinking water, work gloves, and wear close toe shoes. Please dress for the weather. This is a great program for students looking to receive hours for school or for scholarships.
